I've got a new site that has some poker related material. It's not a gambling related site but has some small reviews. I've looked over the Adsense TOS and it seems like my site could be a yes or no depending on how the person interprets the page. Is there a way to get a definitive answer from Google about a site? I already have an Adsense account, I just want to make sure the site is OK before I slap ads on it... NOTE: I do not plan on posting the link here, as a few couple times I have posted links I have been "click-bombed"...
The adsense team does not do site-reviews by request. if you write them, they will reply with something along the lines of "we dont check sites on request, here is a link to the rules, figure it out yourself"..
Well my personal experience says you are safe till you dont offer any such service or affiliate link and your content is serving some purpose for your visitors (like "A guide to be safe playing poker" not just "What is poker"), I have examples where people are running ads successfully on their pharma sites but they dont sell or promote such products.
All i may say is just put your self together and hold the bull by the horn that's what business is all about. But You have to understand that poker and gambling are having the same look.
Poker is a family of card games that share betting rules and usually (but not always) hand rankings. source from Wikipedia. Since betting is involved in it. So better avoid using adsense in that site.
Well, i have seen people writing reviews on poker/gambling sites and at the same time they run google ads on their blogs. How this happens? Don't they violate Google Adsense TOS??
