I had a problem in my Joomla site template where I could only see my background image on the home page, and my footer menu was shifted to the right (off the page) when viewed the page in IE (fine in Firefox). I followed the instructions in a thread where I was told to change out the "roktop-panel.js" file to fix my background and footer menu problem. I did so, and when it didn't work, I got a 404 error msg. I tried to re-upload the original "roktop-panel.js" file. Still doesn't work. I keep getting a 404 error when I go to my ".com/index.php" page. I am so upset I am pulling my hair out. Got It! When you re-upload the original "roktop-panel.js file" you have to go back and make the main menu the default menu. That's it, wah-lah. Now I that I have got everything back to square one, I still have the problem with the way the footer menu is shifted to the right, and the background image on all pages, but the home page, flash quickly when the page loads, then disappears (ONLY IN IE, FINE IN FIREFOX). I want to fix this asap, but I am just happy I didn't loose all my work. Still open to suggestions
