Getting a US IP Address

    Greetings DigitalPoint,

I am not sure if this has been covered at length (and the search "feature" wont allow me to search for the term IP) but wondered if there is a way for me to permanently show as having a US IP address.

I am starting to do a lot of work with CPA Networks and I am having trouble just looking at the offers pages, let alone getting my website to work correctly.

I have heard of proxies and VPN's and so forth but I am just looking for a way to convert my Aussie IP address to a US IP address permanently, without hassle.

    Any help appreciated.

1.Compuserve client assign you a USA IP address after you log-in. [ you must have an account ]
2.VPNs from FindNot [ findnot.com ] gives you USA IP
3.Any public proxy [ unfortunately, most of them won't support SSL and only work with browsers ] You can find some at AtomInterSoft [ atomintersoft.com ]
4.Any public or private sock 4/5 [ support SSL - work with any application - browsers, instant messenger clients etc ]

For me, I use http://proxy.org/cgi_proxies.shtml to select the us web proxy.
    It work fine to me.
But if you want to access some high authority page, I suggest you to buy a well known software that can hide you ip and generate selected country ip address for you. (eg, us, uk, hong kong, etc)
The price is cheap, around $20 to $40 one time fee only.

    Hi Samww,

Would you mind sharing what software you are referring to?

I tried anonymizer but that hid my IP completely and didnt allow for a DNS lookup.

As I said previously, I am not trying to hide my IP, I just want it to look like I am in the US.

    Thanks!
