I got a poker website and doing SEO with full throttle. Competition is tough and I'm after "poker" keyword. Poker website is just like any normal website but being branded as Gambling website it poses some restrictions and it has got its own difficulties. Money involved is huge and big bosses don't mind to spent money on getting into top which adds further difficulties for me. I'm against BIG guys in the Gambling Industry. Does anyone want to share any experience in promoting similar website?
all the BIG boys ... are there ... i'm currently working for a client on gambling .. which i find it very tough to get ranked ... cos most of them are using blackhat to get in the SERP ....
You'd be better off focusing on other high volume search terms such as "Play Online Poker". Trust me, your money would be better invested in trying to break the top 10 on those kind of terms than just Poker.
it's quite do-able over the long run imo. I was ranked number 6 out of like 250 million pages for the keyword gambling at one stage (dropped now cos I have been laaaazy) What's the domain name?
