What are your thoughts. There is this great domain I want, and every single one of them are taken except for .ME Would this effect SEO? The same domains with .com/.net/.org etc are just parked domain names, so Its not like I'm invading anything. What are your imputs?
What about the fact that .ME if a country specific extension of a country which most of your visitors are *not* from?

I have some great .me domains, but just haven't got the time to create a website for it. So personally I am sure I can make positive use out of it.
All domains are same for SE. But as for normel browsers .com is better, very simple example. In IE type domain name only and press ctrl Enter will open .com domain not others..........
Firstly, domain name itself can't effect SEO. Next. That is prospective domain name. About billion people have "me" which mean the same in their languages. Lots of IDN domain names have appeared.
.me is one of the few ccTLD's (just like .tv) that isn't bound to geotargeting (you can change the location via Google Webmaster)...I asked this on Google's forums and a Google rep told me that himself.

Sorry but this might be a bit off topic. All I can say is that I LOVE my www.domainer.me and I have received MANY offers from domainers to buy my domain name domainer.me. I turned www.domainer.me into a domainer blog on domain names. I also have received quite a few offers for www.portfolio.me which i own as well. I own MANY .me domain names. Besides .com the .me is my 2nd FAVORITE extension because the domain name is all about me, myself, and I. Actually the .me is my FAVORITE extension but I know in the meantime the .com is MOST popular. Hopefully one day the .me will catch up in popularity. By the way please don't feel that I am trying to brag because that is NOT my intentions. I am just trying to make a point that I feel MANY people besides me must REALLY like the .me extension or else I wouldn't be getting all these offers on my .me domain names. I do know that Toyota.me went for $90,000 something dollars in the .me auction and insure.me was going for a REALLY nice amount as well but I don't remember what insure.me sold for in the end. MANY domain names in the .me auction were doing REALLY well and I got lucky on MANY of my domain names. I feel it was a miracle that i obtained domainer.me and portfolio.me for the price I paid and apparently MANY other people have agreed with me that i got REALLY lucky!! I was prepared to spend thousands on domainer.me. It's my FAVORITE domain name!! Point being that I usually go with research and my gut feeling when purchasing a domain name and if you feel the particular domain name you are lQQking at is a good domain name then go with your gut feeling unless your gut feeling is usallu wrong, lol.
portfolio.me is one of the ones on my list before .me came out.... I desperately wanted profile.me & promote.me, but of course everything was taken.
i like the look of .me but i think that it would be realy cool if you could get, .me and .us good branding idea
