    Hi there,

I use Stumble Upon now and then but I don't feel %100 comfortable using it, i'm not completely sure how things work etc.
Recently however I have been getting a lot of traffic from the Stumble website, is there any way of logging in to StumbleUpon and finding stats on the amount of people that have clicked my website, or anything like this?

    Thanks for any help.
    Matt

Not that I've from there, though you can see the number of reviews and thumbs of a given page by going to http://www.stumbleupon.com/url/URL OF YOUR PAGE.com/pagename.html

I think the best you can hope for is a stats program such as constantly watching AWSTATS or keeping an eye on Google Analytics. There may be better programs, but *shrug* I've never really bothered to look.

Stumble takes an interest in my site every now and then. It seems to come and go at random. Totally out of my control. I'm grateful for the traffic, but in all honesty, Stumblers view 1.8 pages per visit, compared to about 4 or 5 on average. If you're trying to make money it's not going to help you ( that's not why people use it ), but it can raise your profile, be seen by more people, and a few who like your site might turn into some free links. ( That's been my experience; people love my Kerry Park photo. )

Have you tried Googling "StumbleUpon YourDomain.com?" In your awstats you'll just see http://www.stumbleupon.com/refer.php, so unfortunately the logs aren't going to help here.

I also got a lot of stumbles to one of my page last week. around 100+ stumbles in less that 2 days. All the stumbles were for the same page, and the stats showed them. However, Im not sure if they were valid/useful for the site??

They're definitely valid ... but it's far from targeted traffic. People like to call Stumblers "channel surfers" and they don't tend to stay on a particular site very long. But it can help raise your profile, and help in the long run.

I don't think stumbleupon provides quality traffic at all really.
