Getting a good Google Adwords Quality Score???

    Hello,

I have owned my own business for the past 8 years and started using Adwords back in 03. I spent a lot of time with my account and I could get 5x return with Google Adwords. I since sold my company and now I started a new one. HOWEVER since I had set up my Adwords account and it was really tweaked I didn't mess with it. Now since Adwords introduced the Quality Score that has completely thrown me off.

Any advice? I am slowly getting there and doing a lot of the things required to increase my quality score but the best I can get is a 7.

Does any body have success with Google Adwords that can help? Or point me in the right direction.

I am using the keywords in the title and description and for some groups as well in the domaine name. I optimized my landing pages also. Should I wait for it to take effect or what?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Yes adwords over the years has become a much bigger black box than anyone anticipated. If you have already done all the things you mentioned, then how are you setting your adgroups - how many kw per group, also are you splitting google search with google partner sites?

The best thing you can do is create tight adgroups of very similar keywords, and make sure these keywords appear on your landing page and in your advertisements. Also, it helps to have a multi page website - linking to a single page website doesn't always cut it anymore.

    1. Keywords have to match the content
    2. You need to have Contact info, privacy policy and a "about" page as well. Google checks for contact info, even if it's just an email.
    3. like said above, create adgroups and put relevant keywords in them.

7 is a good QS to start with. Focus on increasing the CTR of the ad/ads.

Most of new campaign the best QS will get 7 and then you need get higher CTR rate to get QS 8, 9 or 10 . If get QS7 then increase your bid maintain position at 1~3 after 1 or 2 week will get QS 8,9 or 10 then you can slowly lower your bid .

My Adwords FAQ can be of assistance. Basically, QS is CTR as it was in '03. Do what you've been doing for the last six years and you will have success again.
