hi, i am a noob, but have a good web development background. Recently just posted about getting sites up and running. quick question: when starting to promote a forum site... is it a recognised standard to put in dummy data and users so that the site does not look empty? cheers.
Just create a few user accounts and post 10+ messages with them. People must see that the site is active... And also when choosing for layout make sure you see it from the eye of the visitor.
surely 10 messages is not enough, i was thinking of spending about 10 hours of work to produce some content
Make a add in the Buy/Sell/Trade services section for foum posters and say i.e you will pay .10cent a post 12cent a new thread or $3 for 20 posts ect This will get your forums active and you will get new members at the same time as well. Kills 2 birds with 1 stone
Do what SKULL says and next time try to post in correct forum (this has nothing to do with adsense) Didier
