Hello, I have a very busy site, with 9,000 Unique Visitors Daily. I would like to know if the following VPS Server can handle 15K to 20K Unique Visitors Daily. Server: 8-Core Intel Xeon CPUs8 GB Ram Bandwidh: Unmetered Port Speed: 100MB My web site is YouTube Video Sharing Site, All videos are hosted in YouTube. My Web site use Database, Dynamic Site. Thanks for your information.
what part of that server will you be using under your VPS agreement? Also how many pageviews do you expect from those 20k uniques?
What do you mean, What part of the server I will be using for my VPS ? Right now I'm getting around 7,000 Pageviews I expect 15,000 Pageviews.
VPS = virtual private server made up dividing actual server hardware between multiple VPS accounts. Each VPS account gets pre-agreed slice of RAM and CPU. Thus your hardware spec is irrelevant without knowing how much of it will be assigned to your VPS. 7000 pageviews from 20K uniques? how is it possible? pageviews always >= uniques.
Sorry I mean I want 15 to 20K Pageviews. My VPS server will have 8-Core Intel Xeon CPUs8 GB Ram Bandwidh: Unmetered Port Speed: 100MB
are you sure this is the spec of your VPS not the server it has set up on along with somebody else's VPS's? (that would mean that it is set up on even large i.e. 16 or 32 core server)
I think you don't need up to 8Gb RAM. This is very much. I suggest 4Gb RAM with expert who can help you optimising vps. Rgs, Nguyen Minh Khoi
Getting about 12 000 PV per day I am running on a 2.5 GB RAM and it uses about 550 MB, and about 1 cpu with up at 1.5
It all depends on what you are using. if you still use apache2 it could make some problems in peaktimes. you should use nginx. with nginx you wont get any trouble with 100.000 pageview or even more. good luck with your site
Mind sharing your website url? Excellent traffic & yes it should be more than enough. Im your new biggest fan ;-)
