Getting >= 1000/day within a month of start. How hard?

How hard is it to start getting an avg 1000 uniques a day in less than a month of starting a site? Thanks!

I'm guessing it'd probably be pretty easy.

 

Its very easy if you are ready to pay $$$$ for the same... Nothing comes for free

You can use pay per click programs... That would help you get quality traffic... if you are looking at driving traffic for ur adsense sites, avoid adwords... Adsense and adwords are closely related and if they come to know that you are taking advantage of adwords for a site exclusively made for adsense, you cud be in trouble..

sure easy as a pie. all you need to do is buy a cookie cutter website, and within a month you'll get >1000 uniques a day.

I forgot to specify that I was refferring to organically generated visitors (ie no advertising).

 

It would be pretty easy. Just have to come up with a a useful site that hasn't been done before.

 

For 1000 I wouldn't even go that far. With good content and a little bit of marketing you can do that. A unique site could easily see more like 5,000.

I am already averaging 2,000 uniques a day on a site I started less then 10 days ago. Whether I can keep that pace relying only on the methods I mentioned above, we will just have to see.

 

Are you guys being serious? I know with paid adveristing it is easy but with nature traffic?

I'm trying to get 100 uniques a day and haven't gotten there yet!

Then you either

1.) Don't have a site that is anything special
2.) You don't have a marketing plan in place while you wait for Google rankings

Its probably the second one. With all these updates and changes, if you rely on Google for the majority of your traffic, you will have a hard time. You will have no luck whatsoever in the first month.

I have had plenty of sites (most of which I sold) where they were established and Google brought the majority of traffic but I never relied on that.

A lot of people do fine by just creating more sites so they get their 1000 a day by having 10 sites while Google adds more pages and recognizes links. That is also a valid method.

 

You wouldn't learn a whole lot with url's because most of the marketing in the first month has more to do with behind the scenes stuff.

If I was forced to give an example of both a unique and well marketed site which I don't own, it would be Roman1's Longest site.

It's THAT easy! Good content is key to success I guess. But advertising helps a lot at least in the 1st two days.. Tell your friends and tell them to tell their friends and their friends' friends..

PS I know that's not a constant 1k/day (small site thou' )

 

My site has top 10 ranking in Google for several different keywords. Some of them are not real popular but I'm working on that.

I want to build this site up and not simply throw out several other sites in order to get to 1000 a day. I want a few quality sites verse lots of lower quality sites.

Any tips on how I can get my traffic up? Nature traffic that is. As I said before the site is listed in Google and it ranked for several different keywords.

 

Well, in General you have to give people a reason to go out of their way to visit your site. The best ways are a unique perspective or piece of information they can't get anywhere else or a tool or game which they want to use.

I personally have had a great deal of success with the second one as it is probably the easiest. Im sure others can add some more

 

Alright, lets step it up a notch. How easy do you think it is to get 1000 a day without original content, but with good marketing. :-D :-P

 

Those two don't go together as people will abondon the site and not link to it. Good marketing grows and that growth will be hampered by a cookie cutter template site that is everywhere.

In that situation you have to go the SE route.

What are some marketing things you do while waiting to rank in Google?

 

I don't wait for google, I continue to try to promote in ways that should help google rankings in the future.

A lot of this promotion doesn't drive traffic to the sites by themselves.

My question is, what other ways can you drive traffic to your website other than google (or other search engines)?

Specifically, if you don't have other high ranking or high traffic sites of your own to kick start the new website.

Using tactics such as: submitting articles to article directories, digg, del.ico.us, networking, etc... doesn't bring me very much traffic.

What am I missing that is bringing so much traffic so soon for your guys?

If you have good and unique information that people want and are looking for, how do you tell them where it is?

 

The easiest way to get that many visitors in the first month is through word of mouth, and a sticky site.

Lets face it if you are shooting for a big keyword you wont get that from google, whilst following legitimate WH SEO.

Or if you are shooting for a keyword with over 1 million overture searches per month. Then by SEOing for MSN and grabbing a first page position, you can expect around 700 per day.

That can be done in less then 3 weeks.

I guess it all depends on your goals.
