Getting #1 on msn for certian keywords

So ive heard everyone saying how easy it is to get a number 1 spot on msn, well im sure if i was number 1 i would be getting alot more traffic and member signups

I doubt anyone is willing to help me get #1 spot

Anyway i would like to get #1 for the keywords:

Link exchange
Increase pagerank
Cheap Advertising

Could anyone give me some tips ?

Use 5 coop ads on page and add the extra weight to the keywords. What positions are you holding at the minute?

If your host is UK based you will probably rank much better on MSn.co.uk than .com anyway. The keyword tracker can monitor MSN.co.uk - just change the URL in the php file to msn.co.uk instead of .com.

To raise your rankings get anchor text links regularly and keep the content fresh. MSN provides me about 5-7% of my traffic and I usually rank fairly evenly across the board for my niche.. Google still provides most of my traffic - google.co.uk suppplies more than msn for me.

 

The fastest and surest way is to buy the sites that are currently #1 for those keywords.

If you don't want to buy them... work at SEO and be patient like the rest of us.

 

Those are some tough ones to rank for. In addition, you may want to target some less competitive ones as well.

I checked your rankings (both .com and uk) at http://www.devppl.com/msnbetarankings.php and you don't rank for those three, but you are showing some decent backlinks for only being up a little bit. 34 pages are indexed, which is a good start.

Here are a few suggestions:

I don't see the keywords you're targeting on your home page. You may want to rewrite some of the copy to incorporate those. You have a title of 'benefits for all' on the homepage, where you can maybe place a few bulleted items underneath such as cheap advertising, increased page rank, free link exchange, etc.

While titles aren't as important, you may want to consider changing the title for each page, and use targeted keywords in those as well.

My site is # 1 on MSN for the term "Starting Over". I'm still not quite sure how I managed to do that. I know part of it is because there isn't too much competition for that term.

Maybe instead of trying to rank #1 for those specific terms which have a lot of competion you should use DP's keyword tool and see if there are less competitive terms which also have a lot of people searching for them.

Rounde... I'm with a US host but want to rank on msn.co.uk, but I'm nowhere. On msn.com I'm on the first page for most keywords.

Just how do you alter the php file, I'm not sure what you mean, could you explain?

This is 2 different things
1. Changing your php file - If you change your keword tracker php file to msn.co.uk rather than .com you will be able to track your MSN.co.uk keywords with the tracker.

2. To rank on MSN.co.uk - Having a UK based server seems to help you results, but will dent your msn.com results.
