Gettin PR up

    Actually, 1 link from a PR10 page (pages have PR, DemonMaster, not sites) will probably give you a PR9, depending on how many other links are on the page. PR that is passed on is split between all of the links on the page doing the passing... the more links, the less passed PR.

    And Matt, actually, links from higher PR pages do boost a site more than lower PR ones, all other things considered equally. Although, personally I think a link from a PR3 page with 20 links on it will pass more of a boost that a link from a PR5 or PR6 page with 250 links on it.

    Anybody out there with a PR 10? ;) well, I think i would have to focus more on the content before i ask others to link with me. :)

    That's why I said 'probably' most pages, taking navigation links into account have more than enough links to drain the PR that's being passed.

    Yes of course, but just chasing links for the sake of the page having PR is misguided. I would rather have a link from a low PR page on an authority site than a PR5 homepage of a spam blog. It's not the PR that makes the difference to the ranking, there are many other factors to take into consideration.
