Gettig "Database out of date", but it doesn't fix it.

I had some problems, and re installed wordpress.
    I keep getting this message:

"Your data base is out of date, click here to upgrade".
Yet when I click, It just takes me around in circles, back to the same message.
I can't access my blog, or the admin panel.
Getting a little freaked out here.

    Can anyone help?

When you reinstalled did you delete the wp-config.php file? Or did you check your wp-config.php file to make sure it contains the correct database info?

I wish I had never messed with it. I am truly getting scared now.

Last cry for help here...is there anyone that knows how to fix this?
I have reinstalled Wordpress again, and I get this error:

Warning: main(/usr/www/virtual/*******/www.124bpms.com/wp-includes/wp-db.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/www/virtual/********/www.124bpms.com/wp-settings.php on line 100

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/usr/www/virtual/******/www.124bpms.com/wp-includes/wp-db.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /usr/www/virtual/********/www.124bpms.com/wp-settings.php on line 100

Search finds plenty of people with the same problem, but no solutions.
    Anyone?

It's true, I cannot grant access, sorry. I was hoping that maybe someone had a similar problem, that could shed some light on what exactly the error code is telling me, and what they did to fix it.
Anything that will steer me in the right direction is better than being in the dark and going in circles.
With the right push, I can probably figure it out.

maybe list what you have already done. and we can take it from there. otherwise everyone of us will just say, re-install everything.,
by the way, is wp-db.php is in your wp-include/ folder?

I have re installed WP twice, although not completely deleting everything first.

and yes, wp-db.php is in my wp-include.php folder.

If I completely delete and reinstall everything, is my content lost, or is it lost already.
That is my biggest concern !!!

Isn't there anyone who can just simply tell me what the error message means, and how to fix it?
Google search is getting me no where, and it is now day 2, that my blog is down.

Hasn't anyone ever had this happen before?

I have checked, and rechecked, that all of the files are there......re installed.....searched for an answer, can I just get it in simple terms,
"This means____, and this is how you fix it..."

I don't need detail, or hand holding, just point me in the right direction.

Great> I understand that i can completely delete wordpress, and re install everything...but back to my old question, "Will that cause me to loose everything?"

    Content, Templates, etc.

I can't seem to get that question answered anywhere, and that is the only thing holding me back from doing a complete re install.

    Will I delete everything?

If I sound frustrated, it's because I am. It's day 3, and I keep going in circles rehashing the same information, and not getting anywhere, on any forum, or help site including wordpress. And it is frustrating, because it is a common problem that is mentioned all over the web, but none of the posts end with a solution.

    Can't I just get a :
"The problem is this.....you fix it like this...."
    from anywhere?

content goes to DB, so back-up database first., templates, for complete re-install, yes, templates will be gone, but just put back a new one (same template)., make also sure to know DB settings.

DB are not on those WP files. did you back-up DB like Phpmyadmin->choose WP DB->export->Check Save As(you might include complete inserts or extended)->, then the file you save is the DB that contains your posts, categories, etc...

    No. I did not:(.
I have my host working on a restoration, from server back ups.
    I hope that works.
I did install a PhpMyAdmin plug in, but obviously cannot access it, since I cannot get into my admin panel.
I cannot access anything at all except my FTP, which does nothing for me.
    I am completely locked out.

I have already conceded , that after 3 days, that I have probably lost everything, and a year of work has gone down the drain.

I hope that isn't the case...I am praying for server back ups to work.

your host should have backup of you files, how come you have only FTP? can't you not access cpanel? how do you set-up the DB then? if your host set-up the DB credentials, then ask them the back-up. If they dont have the back-up, sorry then, it is lost, but you can use google or other search engine to retrieve your post through cache page, and just back date the post
