I've used both, but I prefer GetResponse. They're both great services, I just found better delivery and pricing with GetResponse for what i'm doing.
I've just cancelled Aweber and I'm using GetResponse now. Much cheaper for basically doing the same thing.
Aweber is overcharge right now, for 501 listing we need to paid extra money..gosh, I already moved to another autoresponder alternative provider.
They will lose many clients (including me) and already panicking right now. But that's their own fault..
Aweber says 19.95 a month for 500 subscribers and under Getresponse is 17.95 a month but they do not specify how many subscribers, does anyone know the amount they are allowing? I try contacting their LIVE support to get some clarification with no luck.
OHHHH....OK I am signing up with them. I have heard how their set up is more complex, but I will learn... Whats happening over at aweber? Have they gone bonkers?
I searched google and I found a private label of aweber that hasn't changed prices yet: http://www.profollow.com/ They might change it soon like prosender so get it before they change it becuase if you get it now you'll be locked in.
In my honest opinion I would rather use aweber, I have tried both and for newbies and advanced marketers I would recommend aweber, its great customer service along with step by step user guide out weighs all other competitors, top choice if you ask me.
Beware of getresponse - their customer service can be nasty. As long as you don't have problems - no worries, but if something comes up, one customer is really not worth that much to them. I've learned this the hard way - Be very careful of who you choose to provide autoresponder services. Because once you have your list with them - it's very hard to move to another provider. Most of the time, I believe, you have to have your whole list opt-in and confirm again with the new service provider. Also be careful of hosting your own autoresponder with software like Autoresponse Plus (ARP) - delivery rates are much lower if you're not whitelisted. I've tried all 3 - getresponse, aweber and Autoresponse Plus. I'm for more competition in this market. There are a few others, but I'm not sure about their delivery rates, foreign language support, customization, etc. For such an important part of anyone's business, you should spend a good amount of time and research choosing an autoresponder.
Completely agree with you. May I ask what autoresponder are you testing now? I'm in search of a perfect autoresponder too. I've been with Getresponse for the last 5 years, but after a recent major upgrade their website has undergone I'm thinking about migrating somewhere else. I'm disappointed at their "improvements" - new price structure, number of scripts, inability to customize anything, unresponsive retarded customer service, etc. The only thing that stands out from Weber and other autoresponders is their API.
