Absolutely Senseless theory (and very discriminatory as well) !

If i can prove that you i am genuine then why GAF does not respond to me for 10 days?

In addition you never answered the question why for god's sake, GETAFREELANCER.COM DOES NOT HAVE A LIVE SUPPORT AND PHONE NUMBER ???

DubDubDubDot is right. I remember that i posted a project cleary said I need US programmer only to bid. I ended up having people from India and Pakistan bidding claming from US, but couldn't verified they from US. Btw, GAF its a waste of time( so many crappy programmers).

It may be , but it's true. Companies are tired of losing money to CC fraud from countries where there is no chance of prosecution. There is a certain time frame in which payments are made from the CC company and it is only then that you can ever be sure that the card was not reported stolen, or is a fraudulent card, and that you will actually get your money..and when doing business with countries like that, a lot of companies choose to wait and make sure they aren't getting scammed.

It sucks, but that's the world we live in.

Hey don't take offense to it., there's a ton of scammers everywhere in the world, but, in most western countries, there is a recourse to file an criminal complaint, prosecute, or start a civil action to recoup loses..you can't do that if someone scams you from India, or Pakistan..you are just sh*t out of luck. For some people, that's not an option and too big of a chance to take.

You should have checked the T.O.S. and options for contacting them in case of a problem, before you did work through them.
To late to complain about how they are set up now, that's your fault for not handling you business and checking everything out.

You are probably right about this but, the fact that they do not have a live support and phone number is terrible.

You are right , it is, and I am glad that you brought this up because that is reason enough for me to not even consider taking a chance with them.
No real people ? I've never heard of such a thing.
It's one thing if you are just an affiliate site, linking to the actual sale page with customer support, but to actually be in charge of taking and distributing money and you don't have any real people to talk to ?
That's a little too suspect for me.

100% Agreed. They suspend my account and asked for National ID to Verify, I have sent scanned copy of my ID but they keep my account suspended.
Tried to contact them but no response.

I have more than $100 in my GAF Account.

Now they are trying to steal that money from me. Of course i disputed it over PayPal.

GAF claims to PayPal that they have paid to the provider which is not the truth.
To me they say that they reversed the money to my paypal account which is also a lie.

Oh my gosh, I have around 3.000 dollars over there. Guys, please stay away from Getafreelancer.com (Freelancer.com - GAF). It's SCAM 100%!

Same here, I've transferred thousands through my GAF account over the years, and without issue.

To the OP: what is your GAF username? Surely if you're as innocent as you claim and really just a victim of circumstance, sharing it won't hurt your credibility, right?

Do you think you can improve something, if i tell you the username?

Anyway it's suspended account so you only see that odd message!

However, we talk about the money here. There is nothing you can do that any company steals your money just like that. Is there? Insult? Lie maybe?
    Guys, please be serious.
There is nothing that bad to be done that justifies stealing a money!!!

Stay away from Getafreelancer.com (Freelancer.com) / GAF is scam!!!

Even, I have had bad experiences with GAF in the past.

I once had an account blocked with around $530 in them. It was, however, unlocked after 18 days and repeated phone calls.

Getafreelancer.com or Freelancer.com is owned by Ignition Networks Pty Ltd. which is a registered Australian Company with Company Number ACN 134 845 748 which can be duly verified over at
    www. asic.gov. au/asic/asic.nsf/byheadlineAustralian+Company+Number+%28ACN%29+Check+Digit?opendocument

I don't think your money will go anywhere, wait and be in touch with them.

This is the first time I've ever heard anything bad about GAF.

I've found some excellent long-term contractors from that site.

I hope you get the money you're owed.

    Hi all,
whatever GAF want to check with people, he still don't have right to hold people money. The worst of all that, that after 6 days and 30 emails, no one answering anything, no contact no phone number.
It is definately a scam ! don't ever approach theim with money, you'll loose it !

Here's my take: GAF might be good for buyers, but not for providers. It seems to be a modern sweat shop.
