The site is trustworthy. You can ask individuals to provide proof of computer skills. For example, you might want to look at their resume, past projects and references.
Getafreelancer.com SUCKS! PERIOD! to hire more than one you must pay more for each and also when you deposit funds, you have to pay the extra charges as well as when you decide to withdraw funds from your account, they again take away $1. Basically here and there, it keeps adding up and as a hiring guy, it sucks that you have to pay GAF every time when some sort of transaction happens. and one time there was a coder that I hired thru GAF that installed virus attacking script in my site (google detected as dangerous), so I complained to GAF and got the money back but he's still going around hunting sites to install virus scripts probably.. GAF said I had no proof that it was installed by him
Very old thread.. but I think I'll just chip in some advice. Getafreelancer is an excellent place, as I have found many people to outsource my work to.
I agree with you getafreelancer is a great place to get a freelance job but sometimes i still not hired because of the bidding process. but odesk and elance is a trusted site on which you can get a freelance work
Excellent Prinzel. and, i personally hate GAF to provide my services. The on going rates are damn cheap. And people compete to bid cheaper. :-/
