The only thing i don't like is you have to pay 5 dollars. I know you get it back, but it is kinda pain.

yeah, i agree... bid sites dont care, they are just in it for the money.

The smaller ones work hard at creating a reputation and will take these kind of things seriously.

I had an issue with a freelancer on www.freelancersatlarge.com. This guy accepted my project (3 weeks work total) and could not deliver me more that 15 minutes of work after 2 months. FYI: he just gave me a demo of an opensource script which was not even close to my needs.

He then threatened me and complained to Freelancersatlarge.com. They went through all the communications i had with the freelancer in the project message board and noticed his fraudulent ways.

    Immediately, freelancersatlarge.com suspended this member.

These guys really care about their reputation and have a great arbitration process which is faiir to freelancers and buyers.

Getafreelancer is completely USELESS for professional freelance writers. Don't waste your time. The general arrogance of the job postings ("I will only pay $25 for these 100 stories words and if there are ANY spelling or grammar errors, I'm not paying!!") is plain insulting. What I actually find kind of amusing is the huge number of these job postings that are filled with incorrect spelling and grammar. No thanks -- I think I'd rather get a more prosperous job cleaning toilets.

I make good affiliate money from GetAFreelancer ( as of now US$141 ). My Free Online Jobs website uses GAF jobs. Good for affiliate business.

I used to subscribe to getafreelancer, but I found that webmasters on the site want perfect work without paying for it. I cancelled my subscription. I couldn't see providing anyone with 50 articles of 500 words for $50.00. I'm sure that they got what they paid for.

I actually have 657 affiliates on my GAF account and make a few hundred bucks a month from it. I have used it before to do projects but it costs too much (DP beats price , ease and quality everytime) but I would use it again for certain complex things. Only because of the escrow thingy. I have had it for about 3 years and have been thinking about selling the whole account recently because I am tired of promoting it. Got a great PR4 website, well domain name anyway, pushing it. I guess that would have to be included also.

Make money from home with no work! Find whoever first said this and kill them.

I like it here, used it and won some bids and posted projects as well! Worked great. Their newer site is easier to use also.

They do pay and they have escrow system. But when I started, they used to pay good but the money for the projects have fallen down now.
