Just posted my first job on GAF last night and got a wide variety of responses. Because I am GAF n00b, I selected the "Middle Sized Job - $300 to $1500" option So now I have a few people bidding at $1500, which is too pricey for what I want to do. What's the protocol for negotiating the price with bidders? Should I just chat to them through the GAF PM service? And - ahem - where's the button for setting a max limit that people can bid up to? Thanks C
You could have stated your actual budget in your profile. You can also just send messages to the current bidders to see if they are willing to negotiate.
I agree that you should tell the people what you can be willing to spend if you put to offer from 300-1,500. You really can't blame people who think they are worth 1,500 for the project on offering / trying to get your job. If you cannot afford a certain amount then you do not want to give the other people the idea that you can.
Cool, thanks for the responses. I'll be sure to specify my max amount next time I use GAF I think I've found a bidder within my budget so hopefully it will all work out Thanks
