    This is a scam.

    I'll repeat. This is a scam.

    That's tarun1979's AdSense for Search code with publisher id, and he/she is just trying to get a bunch of unsuspecting webmasters to place it in their sites, so he/she will get any revenue from ad clicks in the search results.

    If anyone wants a Google search box on their page, and you have your own AdSense account, in your account you can generate your own code similar to that which tarun1979 posted. If you don't have an AdSense account, you can still place the normal Google search box on your page. If you need some help setting it up, refer here:

    http://www.google.com/searchcode.html

    If you accept their agreement you'll see a few examples. Specifically refer to the "What could be better? Search me." section.

    Keep in mind that either with AdSense or normal search, your pages need to be indexed in Google already for someone to find those pages in the search results.
