Get video footage from Satellite/TV to Laptop?

    Hi all,

    I am just looking to get my satellite/TV connected so it can appear on my laptop/computer so can get live footage to appear on my desktop. I take it need some sort of capture device, any advice or guides possible to help me with this?


    I also have a dual monitor if that maybe useful and hdtv which is where my footage is connected to.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    you can bay a pvr, there are some cheap ones on ebay.com.
