Get traffic to personal article and news blog

    What are the things I can do to get a traffic increase?

    Social news sites have been great for boosting my traffic (like Reddit and Digg). The traffic from these sites though comes in one big rush and then dies off so don't count on it for long-term visitors.

    Some of the visitors coming from digg and reddit will bookmark your website, add it to their reader, link to it. So probably your current traffic, even if it is lower than those spikes, is a result that people visited your website and liked it. Also serps is a benefit of having links in digg, reddit, and other social bookmarking sites.
