Hello, I have just launched a marketplace for subscriptions boxeal.com, where you can sell your services as a subscription. I thought such a platform could be great for Fiverr sellers, or Freelances who want to create a business with more revenue and value in it. The reason why a subscription beats a one-time payment should be obvious. Imagine you would get for all the gigs you have ever sold a recurring payment of $5 per month, instead of a single one. What do you think is the best way to create traction for my marketplace? I need to get the supply and the demand side, but where should I start? Any ideas?
Social media. Market it on groups of possible interested people. And create a blog with fresh content to keep them entering your website.
Sounds like a very great idea actually but is the site fully functional? I ask because your website lists some categories and then the number of subscriptions available within that category. Clicking any category just results in 3 'spam' posts and the page options don't work. If you can tidy it up somewhat, I am sure it would have better appeal and eventually get some people coming. You could consider going for more niche markets to start with, get your name out there and eventually push other areas and gain traction there. As for the web hosting category, not sure that would be the right fit for your website. Most web hosts would already have a billing system that they run on their systems and are fully integrated into other systems (support, control panels etc) so maybe focus on other areas (SEO etc).
Hey, thanks for your answer, yes the site is already fully functional beside some little things like the "sorting". At the moment there aren't many subscriptions listed thats why there are only this "crappy" listings when you click on hosting. But your point is correct, most hosting companies already have their own billing and website setup. We will change this category later on to something different.
From a users point of view (and probably sellers that check out the competition) it makes it look like the site isn't ready / is not maintained properly. This could turn away visitors and potential sellers. One solution would be to remove these and put up a few services that you can do yourself or your friends?
