With the popularity of search engine spiders, software that robotically browse the Web looking for sites to add a search engine, people feel that the submission of manual directory is no more. Though, this could not be additional from the reality. Directory submission is a great tool for webmasters. Popular sites like MSN and Yahoo are still using directories and users who are looking for sites in a genre often use directories as a way to quickly find the sites they want to find.

    Guide Lines:

    1. Don’t submit your site in the directory before the completion coz by this you will create the rejection.

    3. Fill up the every required text field in the form.
    4. Give the current working mail id in the form.
    5. The Most important thing is don’t holdup to make verify the confirmation mail being delay you will lead the rejection of the submission.

    7. Web Directory generally doesn’t accept sites that redirects on other link.
    8. Don’t Use Capital Letters in Title.
    9. Choose the right category for the site otherwise your Site will be Rejected.

Just a warning to those reading this post, if you abuse this information (too many submissions) you'll screw your website right into the ground. If followed just as listed, this could prove very valuable to your site, but don't go crazy on it.

directory submission isn't much use anymore, as far as I can gather. Certainly not as much use as article submission. Quick rule of thumb - the harder something is to 'bodge', the more weight the search engines give it.

    Good Advice.
The benefits of directory submission has waned a great deal in the last few years, IMO, as will other factors that google takes into account, due to the fact that they get exploited. Natural linking over a period of time is still the best way to get serps improvement, problem is it takes time.
