Get rid of the posting requirements

I think we should get rid of the posting requirements to get into certain forums. While it does reduce spam in the forums that have requirements, it increases spam everywhere else, making the boards have less value overall.

If someone posts a solution, use the "Best Answer" link in their post to pick it as the best answer.

I disagree as well, I think the posting requirements give new users a chance to learn the way the forum works before jumping in head first.

And also to prevent people form joining, making one sales thread, then vanishing off the face of the earth while people try and contact a seller which isnt there no more.

If you see spam just report it using the triangle in the upper right of each post.

Posting requirments are a good thing.

So every one is clear: [IMG]

A button I hit four or five times a day...

I'd almost like to see some of the requirements increased...but all is good.

If it was up to me you'd have to have 50 posts and be a member for 3+ months before you could post in the suggestions/feedback section:D

DP is so big so it needs requirements or else the mods would not have anything else to do than cleaning up and banning people.

What are the chances of finding a hack that sends anyone with less then 50 posts hitting the "new thread" button (in Suggestions & Feedback) to the FAQ/Rules section?

Or adding an extra check box "[_] Did you RTFM?" to new threads in this board ;)

i still say having a size 92 font flashing with 4 colors every 3 minutes on the screen until you DP detects that you ahve spent 20 minutes on the FAQ page, works better.

How are they supposed to read the FAQ's with 3 mins. interval flashy movie ? so that means they will need to like open the faq window and tab to another window till their time has expired and flashy windows gone :D . Lots of ways to trick that system. :p
