Get results like DMOZ and CNN

take look at the DMOZ and CNN google search results, seems like they have "child"/category results listed.

however, even much smaller volume sites has the same look listing.

how can we try to reach this kind of listing type?

They are called "site links" and they are only given to authority, trusted sites.

 

That's automatically done by google when you have very high pr url that has few consistent text link navigation that is featured in all pages. I've seen it on tons of other websites and its done fairly easy... just make short URL, short Title and sit and wait
