One of the positive aspects is that Equities have become quite cheap and if someone has spare money(after lossing a hell lot in 2008) and patience, then lot of money can be made.
I'm expecting it to be worse for the first part of the year, but I always hope for the best. IMHO I really don't look for Obama to do much of anything during his first two years, but then again he might surprise me.
Guys, do the world a favor, NEVER run for public office!! Da last thing we nead are n00bies that can only think of being pessimistic instead of knowing how to be optimistic. You know some one is a total n00bie and doesn't know what they are talking about when they only know how to be pessimistic. If there really is a recession going on, then I sure hope it keeps going on!!!! I like this so called 'recession'!!!
Pessimists unite. If you spend a lot of time looking at stuff like mainstream news channels, wars, economy doom and gloom news, and whatever's going wrong around you or halfway across the world, you'll be sad and gloomy in no time. Look at the good things you have like your friends, family and whatever else you have. Focus on what's really important, you and the people who matter to you, and your collective happiness. Three large corporations crumbling ISN'T relevant [Unless you work there]. If your needs and desires are simple and realistic, 2009 will be a great year for you no matter who you are. With a smile on your face and happiness in your heart, you can rule the world. [After me, Of course]
I strongly agree with you mate.. There's no harm if we remain optimistic despite the negative news we are hearing almost everyday.. but the change will start from us first..
