Hey guys. Check this out: http://www.clickbank.com/blog/?p=18#comments Vendors will be able to use images on their order pages soon! I have been waiting for this for ages! Clickbanks testing shows that the images get a higher conversion rate.
won't people just end up ordering if they are on the order page? I didn't think it would make much of a difference.
Great to finally see this happen, it is also said that soon affiliates and pubs will be able to communicate via internal systems... I think that the payment page is THEE most important part of this network, or ANY network that shares publishers, 1000's of designs, but they all go to a neutral place to pay with no continuity in design or relativity to the site other than the description text, which over half the publishers don't know how to use so they see nickname-1 and probably feel insecure. Still, I'm on PDC and in my formal review of their system, their payment pages are HORRIBLE - they allow you to customize them but you must have an SSL to do so without getting errors... Not so bad for one domain but 50+ sites, unrealistic. This will allow us to finally create a continual flow of our branding and CB's branding as our umbrella I've now built two sites SPECIFICALLY branded as close to CB payment pages as possible to see if they would convert better, and they actually did. This is the best move they can make to converge our efforts to theirs. I still feel they should allow 3-5 pics, perhaps thumbs with 1 pic that changes on rollover of the thumbs. Also, I'm sure they thought of this but you can actually do some funky things with pics/code/htaccess stuff so this is a security flaw they would have had to plug (basically you can cookie stuff forums/pages/directories with images, soooo blackhat - never try it). ClickBank is just getting better and better, and the complaints about fluctuation seem to have somewhat diminished too. +rep to CB. NC.
lots of people just go to the order page to check the price quick, or see if theres another offer.. 15%-25% is pretty crappy but true. only if clickbank would let us use an exit popup on the order page
Finally. I've wondered where did all the order page pictures go (some publishers used to have their product picture on the order page, and it was gone). nadavs
