Having a pretty professional site helps your conversions though, but NOT the traffic from the search engines.

What I meant to say is the aesthetic look of the site will not get search engine to index and rank it highly. The look however, affects the conversion rate. But you are spot on with the right code.....is needed.
It really depends on the niche and the keywords. Some niches and keywords really don't take much effort, while others seem impossible. It also depends on what color hat you wear... Be well.
