I tried for "host" and "hosting" and then tried searching, but nothing showed up. Am I doing something wrong or does it simply not find domains?
I played around with it. It looks at combinations for the terms you enter, then compares them to available domains. You need to enter multiple keywords in each column for the tool to be effective. Entering just one or two will terms will bring you little or no results.

I love this tool, I have been trying to think of a specific (well around a subject) domain and nothing came to me all week, used this tool and now I have a great domain. Great tool bookmarked, just wish I could generate some .co.uk's as well but its tough with Nominet restrictions. Wish I could buy a script like that.
