Definitely this is not the first company to offer cash for searching. This type of search engine can work only with huge volumes where users are actually paid to search rather than paid to click on ads or complete offers. If users are paid to click on ads then advertisers will shy away. And if users are paid to just search then the search engine runs the risk of not making enough money.

Too many people could create bots for this sounds like another "no-work scam" which usually means that to squeeze out any money you have to spend tons of time.

They mention having safeguards against that but I'm sure someone could get around those with the right skills.

The biggest hurdle would be how to increase the number of searches a script could carry out any given day. There's sure to be a level that represents an average/moderate/heavy users search volume. Step outside those patterns frequently and you risk a ban therefore limiting the earning potential of any script.

This is more for your regular internet user who searches the web (dont we all?) and thinks, hey, I could be getting paid every time I search for a word, that's the ISP monthly bill covered!
