Get Out of the Supplemental Index?

I have a photography site (www.jcurranphotography.com) that has images for most of the pages. Recently, these pages have gone from the Google index to the supplemental index. I removed all affiliate links and added AdSense, I'm in the process of giving every page it's own title, keywords and description. But,this has not helped. I've tried using the "last modified" option in my Google xml sitemap. No change. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi there,

Supplemental index has been the issue with many websites on web and you can pull out your website by implementing the following things.

    1. Original content of every page.
    2. Unique title, description of every page.
    3. Incoming links to every page including the inner pages of your website.
    4. Make a sitemap.html file and put all the important links of your site on this page.
    5. Make a Google sitemap and submit it in your Google's account.

By constant working on the above mentioned things your site may be pulled out from the supplemental index. Oneway back links from good PR sites to your website play important role for the supplemental pages.

An interesting article (26-05-2007) as follows:

"If you run an online website or business you have probably already heard about Google's Supplemental Index. You may have even heard it being referred to as Google's Gulag, Google's Digital Dungeon, or the moniker that seems to have stuck: Google Hell.

Hate it or love it, webmasters are passionate about the big G. There's no argument on that point for one good reason: Google simply delivers the most search engine traffic on the web. For any webmaster with at least a few white SEO connected brain cells Google can supply 60% or more of their traffic.

Therefore, suddenly getting the majority of your pages thrown into Google's Supplemental Index can result in a correlating drop in business. A few examples of this were reported in a recent Forbes article by Andy Greenberg entitled "Condemned To Google Hell"."

Ditto on the above. Also, make sure the pages are linked to each other. This way, you spread the pagerank of the home page, and any pages that have links, to pages that do not have links.

One way (there are many ways) to get out of supps is write content and post in squidoo (squidoo.com). Purchase links to your squidoo pages (to give your squidoo pages some authority), then link your squidoo pages to the pages in your site that are in supps.

Of course, you can always purchase links to the pages that are in supps, however, at some point this method may come back and bite you! :)

I followed everybody's advice and most of my pages are back in the "A" index.
