There is no any sandbox. Increase a quantity good back links from PR5-6 sites with necessary keywords in anchors and Google make a decision that your site grew up enough to get off sandbox.

How "established" should the established site be? Would a 2 year old, PR3 website be established enough?

I've done it myself twice. I put a 301 in htaccess for each URL to go to the new URLs on the new domain. It worked great and I can recommend it from experience. The new site took the place of the old and did not lose any rankings.

I have just implemented this technique a couple of hours ago. However, one major difference is that the subdomain and the redirected domain each have different content. That's why I'm not sure whether once Google reindex the site it will have the same effect as the recommended steps. I'll let you know once I come up with something.

My advice would be to work on fixing what got you into the sandbox in the first place and then keep adding quality content and building quality backlinks. I am yet to find any quick fix that works.

So you should upload "MyNewSite" in a subfolder and on a subdomain?
Are yo sure yo didn't made a mistake? - I suppose you only have to upload it in a subfolder?

Strangely enough I don't have problems with sandbox. I thought it's something from the past now.
The site get indexed, don't rank high for it's own name for a couple of days and then it's OK.

I have experience with google sandbox. What i do just keep update my blog and next few days it's already come out from sandbox. I think sandbox is google way to testing whether your blog is spamblog or no. So, keep update and be patient.

Sorry I am a bit confused, I get the idea of transferring the content to the old domain....However are you saying that you simply transfer all the content to a old domain and that is it? Or are you saying that you can transfer it to the old domain, then transfer it back to your new domain which is currently sandboxed? I would want to use my new domain name because it has the URL in the title and is an excellent domain name and obviously all my links point to the new domain.
