This blog blogged about the DMOZ sumbission process a week ago

    http://www.linkjuicy.com/blog/category/dmoz/

Turns out he's now listed. Guess if your blog is powerful enough a little DMOZ promotion will get you in...

Well, favoritism is part of human nature. Then there is that whole cliche "birds of a feather" that keeps like minded people with those of the same mind.

In all, it does seem natural to list those that praise you... though, I've seen many listed that are not all that nice. *shrug* Either way, now that this 'trick' is out it may cause some editors to think twice before being nice to those being nice.

The interesting line from the post is:
I see nothing wrong with having a site submitted to a category with "quality" editor.

Fantastic. Your account has now been flagged. Any and all sites you now list on Digital Point will be cross referenced with ODP listings. The editors that have added those sites will now be questioned and likely removed.

    Way to go Ace!

So I should PM him bunch of links for him to post around which I would like to get permanent red tag or even removed from DMOZ? :D

Since evidence gathering at DMOZ is very superficial process it shouldn't be very big problem to remove anyone I don't like. ;)

Put an offer to get deep links on scrtiplance complete with site URL and you are on your way to get their site removed ;) Though, this thread is not about getting sites removed, it's about getting them listed (and I assume keeping them there).

So I don't think it's wise to discuss how to get them back out, at least not in this thread.

I still feel that the best way to get it listed is to submit & forget....though, heh, before that to read and follow the submission guides.

Are DMOZ editors lazy? Goodness it takes them forever to look over a site!

Yep! and I'm about to get even lazier. :D There's just something about being called corrupt that makes me want to do something else with my free time.

Takes even longer to look over 10,000+ sites, ;).
