    Easy...

    use the search.twitter.com

type in a phrase associated with your niche

for instance type in ''need to lose weight''

You will a whole host of non-marketing twitterers who want to lose weight.

YOU NEED TO REPLY TO THESE TWEETS

Send them to your opt-in page by sending them a friendly message like

Heya..saw yur tweet:) I had a kinda weight problem a while bak bt this helpd loads. tinybit.url Questions? :)

    and bobs your uncle :D

Twitter's getting owned by spam accounts, so theres barely anyone who will actually visit your link nowadays >_>

Is that bad? So many people are on twitter? Is it your experience?

    Yeah.
I have 7 twitter accounts, each with 1500-2500 followers.
I've tried tweeting 5-10 links a day and I get somewhere around 2-3 clicks in total from over 10000 people seeing my tweets.

Nobody believe links anymore on twitter.

What you do is REPLY to the tweet that you found in the search.twitter.com option

Only reply to tweets that don't have links in them (obviously)

REply in a casual manner, and direct them to a free offer on your opt-in page.

This is more or less what Ryan Deiss does...although he has a product that automates the process

I second that. too much of marketing kills the quality of place.

But to the trick is to appear as you're just passing on some cool info you found...hence the ordinary language reply

I have a twitter account and hardly ever click on any links I see. In actual fact there are some interesting tweets but it does my head in. A minimalistic approach is the best I reckon. I hardly tweet myself and I actually gain followers :p

Thanks I will definitely try this.
I have just started using Twitter and
    I just downloaded TweetGlide.
Not sure if you know much about
TweetGlide or not? If so, pass on
any help you may have to optimize
    my efforts.

    Thanks
