How to get links from .edu sites?
This article will explains you clearly the exact procedure for How to build links from .edu sites. As you know that these kind of Backlinks are highly desirable. And according to google the sites which are getting links from .edu sites are more valuable than other sites. And also google provides an extra pagerank boost to those sites which are getting links from .edu sites.

So how do you get backlink from .edu site?? Well it is very simple. You just need to post a comment on a college or university site and the backlink is created That’s all :D

Well posting a comment is very very simple. But how will you find Those blogs which are having related content?
Here you have to work out. Even if you can find a list .edu sites there is still the problem of finding ones i.e relevant to your website. And this is the major problem many of us are facing. Well i am having a trick which can find tonnes of .edu sites. And my trick is with google. You just need to know how to manipulate on google search engine with right input. You will get the required output.Just enter the search query as shown below in google.:D
    site:.edu inurl:blog

The above search query tells to google search to display a list of .edu sites. This will result to 2,390,000.It is very difficult to find which website is relevant to your site out of 2,390,000 results. This is a good idea but isn’t great. You need to narrow down your search to only those website which allow you to comment.

There are many websites in the above results which doesn’t allow us to comment. So we have to find those blogs which allow us to comment. Now adjust your search query as shown below :
    site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment”

The above search query tells Google to search those .edu sites which allows us to comment. And this results to 250k.This figure 250k fluctuates every hour. We know about google.Google is an algorithm which deindexes thousands of pages and indexes some tonnes of pages for every minute.

Still you need more focus to narrow search results. No one is going to satisfy with 250k pages. .The major problem is that many websites are not open to comments(i.e., they’re closed). So you need to add one more parameter to narrow search results. And this parameter will filters all those websites those who doesn’t allow us to comment.

    -”comments closed”

In the above parameter minus sign (-) tells you that you are subtracting blogs where comments are closed. But, you are not done! Few websites doesn’t allow you to comment in their websites until you login.I don’t think you will be having time to log in just to leave a good comment on their blog.It is very time consuming step. You need to remove those blogs which forces you to log in.So in order to remove those blogs subtract the above search query with the below mentioned parameter :

    -”you must be logged in”

Remaining search queries checkout this Post : How to get Links from .edu sites.

You do know that Google has diminished the importance of .edu sites now that anyone can make them, right? And the comments help on those sites, but usually they're in a frame so don't help so much.

Just commenting on a few do-follow blogs will usually be enough to get you a high PageRank and improved rankings. As for .edu links, Google might have given them more importance a few years ago, but not anymore these days.

Most are nofollow and also I don't believe Google still favours edu sites. Not sure though.

Yea, I personally just like to do a

inurl:blogspot “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in”
inurl:wordpress “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in”
inurl:blogdrive “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in”

etc etc, get a few links from as many of the main blogsites that you can! It's easier than making your own blog (which I would also recommend...

I've read about this many times and I have yet to see any true results with this. I've had more success contacting some of the .edu sites that contain a list of resources relevant to what I'm writing about and asking them to link back to me as a resource.
