Well atleast you have some fresh content and it would be fine for a website an audience thats very new to the game like 90% of the people around me. It's just that its very very simple and we already read this more then 1000 times.

Instead of "DO NOT use Google’s “Add URL” form.", I think "Don't bother" would better reflect it, but that's a detail.

Backlinks from non-related sites are not completely worthless IMHO. They just have less weight.

"I will tell you why, because 9/10 web design companies are not quality, instead they favor quanity." - fix the quanity (quantity) typo, otherwise it sounds bad to speak about quality of design and have typos in the text.

And yes, overall, that's how that approximately works.

I only wonder why to bother to get indexed fast. I usually just want to get indexed, don't care if it is 24 hours or two weeks, as my goals are long-term.

THERE is no problem if you submit your website with the Google add url form.

    Please stop this myth.

Everybody likes to let Google find a website, by following links from other sites. That's all.

I do it out of comodity. ANyway ... If you do not build at least a few inbound links, with google add form or not, you will get very hard indexed. :)

I took a few hours and set up sitemaps for my site. I have over 1000 pages in my site and some do well in Google, but some do not even seem to be in the index. I hope sitemaps will help Google find all the pages in my site.

Has anyone seen a difference using sitemaps?

You only need Python if you want to use the Google tool to make the sitemap. I read the whole FAQ and you have to look for it, but they tell you how to make a simple text file with the urls for you site that you can submit to Google.

My host does not list it in the feature set, but ends up they do have Python support so I could use the Google tool. Maybe your host has hidden Python support?

Im sorry, but what facts/experiences do you have that back up your statement? Didnt think so...

I have tested this theory VERY thoroughly and i KNOW it to be true 100%, however that is not to say that it is permanant, for example if google updates their add url form, then this topic is void:) Yet as of now it is fact

I set a dynamic xml sitemap (custom not using the python code) up on www.changafonts.com Google downloads it every 5 hours or so, no change in SERPS, indexing went up, but so did my sites without it. I think google just sent around another deep crawl.

I have new articles added daily, linked off of the homepage, listing page, sitemap, detailed sitemap, xml sitemap. Would be nice to get them added quicker though. I fear the only variable left is to wait and let the site age for google.

A clean PR7 link pointing to a well laid out sitemap will get any site indexed. I have never had a site take more than 3 days to be indexed - and I have overseen 90 sites

Well, if your pages aren't indexed, it's a lot harder for people to find your pages. The quicker I get my site indexed, the quicker people have a chance to find what I've got to offer.
