    I don't understand the yearly featured links....even less the monthly ones...anyway

    Featured links as in top of the specific category page listings and those are on a monthly basis. The left column of the page is static and shows up on every page on the site which are monthly as well.

    I know what a featured link is....just I don't get it why is sold monthly
