Thanks guys for signing up and linking to it! You all are very welcome. I always thought it would be nice to have a place where we could all get free deep links to our internal pages easily. I am running RSS Power Plus on the blog which basically submits what you blogged about to a few feed aggrigators which builds a few links back to every post automatically which in turn builds even more link juice for your pages. It's a pretty good system because the more you guys blog, the more links the blog gets which gives it higher PR which makes you want to blog more....... The blog is getting pretty good traffic so far from the search engines. Not real sure how much traffic because I have the stats turned off on my server because I have a very busy site on that server that uses alot of CPU and I need all the CPU I can get. The server doesn't crash any more sinse I turned off the stats tracking. I'll probably have to run that other site on 2 servers soon. So, the more you blog, the more popular the blog will get automatically and you know what that means.
I'm kind of new to this SEO stuff. Can someone tell me if links that have no follow get any kind of juice from the search engines OR are they a waste of time.
I'm not real sure if yahoo and live search engines use the nofollow standard like google does but I do know that google does not count nofollow links at all. And from what I have seen, MSN Bot and Yahoo Bot doesn't follow links that use the nofollow tag. But it may help you in the other engines that are not as advanced. I'm sure that pretty soon most engines will follow google in the nofollow rules and they will not help at all. So, I wouldn't put much stock in the nofollow links unless they send you traffic.
And what are those tags in the site. I really feel its a matter of time your site goes down in terms of PR.
Yes, spanish content is fine. The tags are basically categories similar to wordpress.com. Each tag creates it's own page, listing new blog posts that have added that tag to their post when they submit. Eventually the tag pages will get indexed in the search engines and will deliver keyword targeted traffic into the site from the engines. It's a pretty cool system.
