One way is to use Firefox. Rightclick on a link and select Properties. If it doesn't say NOFOLLOW thatn it's do follow ;)

From what i see the comments on digg are displayed with ajax , so the is no actual link in the source page .... it makes no sense to put comments on digg. Or am i wrong ? :/

You can use this same technique to post a comment at Squidoo (if the Squidoo lens has a guestbook,) comment on relevant articles at ezinearticles, comment on flickr images, etc. You can work the idea in infinite ways to achieve really relevant backlinks.

I'd imagine this could be very risky in getting your Digg account banned...?

Also, what happens when the comment area goes to a new section and is no longer directly on the page, is it still seen by SE's?

Thanks for the tips... I just recently found out about the whole "nofollow" thing... talk about a pain in the ass lol I'd say this info is worth a couple bucks... although you may want to provide more details on going about doing it...

If your worried about your links being banned or labeled spam, try linking to an "about me" page on your site. I know this goes against the proper anchor text by including your keyword in the anchor but you'll increase the probability of the linking sticking and your site will still get the backlink juice.

The idea is to find OLD posts that nobody visits much anymore and post a link.
