That's the warning from the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry of Malaysia if you're penalised for illegally downloading songs (mp3s), videos, etc... Read more here Your views?
I don't have downloads on my website. Never plan on having them either. 250k isa a lot of money wih it I can do a lot of things. wouldn't want it to give to the government
Listen, apparently that law was to focus on physical enforcement such as dvds etc and it appears it was never enforced....once in 10 years. So, if they could not or did not enforce it then, what flaming chance do you think they will enforce it now in the digital age of proxies, ip masking and all the other little tricks that are available for downloading these days. Based on that, I reckon movin to Malaysia for downloading is the best thing you can do!!!
I highly doubt someone will be charged $250k for downloading a few hundred dollars worth of stuff for personal use. It would send too many people bankrupt.
They just get some people and apply huge fines to set an example... if they did this to everyone world economy would free fall. Or a rebellion would happen
