Browsers are getting faster and better at running web applications like Google Mail that use browser technology to its limits. In order to get the best experience possible and make Google Mail run an average of twice as fast, Google suggest that you upgrade your browser to one of the fastest Google Mail supported browsers that work on Windows. Google Mail Supported browsers - Google Chrome Firefox 2.0+ Internet Explorer 7.0 Safari 3.0
yes i downloaded chrome but i think google is being a bit cheeky with this. lol when you type a keyword in the url its like using google search, i dont think thats fair tactics. I also think that if a lot of people start using google chrome that this will mean more work for web designers in the future, in other words chrome will render pages different from ie and firefox and we will have to code more to support all browsers, which means we have to charge more money to clients or take less money for ourselfs, so im not going to use any other browsers other than ie and firefox.
IE is still the king, and will always be, firefox did great and fought hard, but hard to see them make much more ground now, unless they do something revolutionary, now Chrome is different, it is backed up by Google, and Google is one of the few companys in the world that can topple Microsoft. Interesting to see how Chrome goes!
I wonder if Google Chrome is faster than Firefox in loading Gmail because Chrome might have preset cached files already.
Google Chrome is faster than any other web browser that I have tried (IE, Opera, Safari or Firefox). But I don't use it because for me the best possible (but not fastest) choice is Firefox!
