Get banned from Google with .gov content.

    Hi,

I am wanting to add product information to my site. It's published by a number of different governments (so it's copyright free) for the benefit of the consumer.

The last thing I need is getting banned for doing this, even though I am doing it clearly for the best interests of my customers. Does anyone know how google may view this? Will I get banned for duplicate content? I am willing to rewrite the content, if need be, but that's a huge job for over a 1000 products.

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks
    Sane

I would request you to conact them again, i guess you may mention there that you were unaware of this situation and had no ideas of duplicate contents. Please make a note, .gov site's are not commercial sites, copying the same content will definitely affect your search engine ranking and leading to website banning and remember unique contents makes your work a lot easier in the long run.:)

Let me put it like this: I sell prescription drugs based in Canada and am a fully licensed pharmacy. Providing customers with information on how to take their medication and the side-effects etc etc, is important. I can't control who else makes this information available to customers online. Do you really think Google might ban me if a use this product guidelines content on my site?
