That's right! You can have your very own Google.com backlink for less than 2 grand Is Google selling paid links?? Seriously, Google has an SEO exploit, are we at the times where we have SEO bugs. Like how .edu domains are becoming exploited by SEO's. Anyway, go here for the post. Share your thoughts!
Good share, but it's only a matter of time until they figure that out and they "nofollow" the backlink.
nice find buddy I'm checking this out and I'll get back to comment, I've seen some Google mini ads around but didn't know about the pr8 backlink
The testimonials page is PR7 now and full of links.. So PR juice passed would be less.. Nice find though.
There is 565 external links from that page, and its PR7, not 8. With that many outbound links, and growing.. the outbound links worth are going downhill fast, and they will most likely end up 'nofollow'ing them. Thanks for the idea though.
google must look first itself. it's selling links and it's trying to sell people to prevent selling links. it's intresting
Yeeeeah. A bit steep, really. ...Though interesting to note that section of the site is specifically not in Google's robots.txt file.
It's not cheap, but the truth is the $1995 cost is for the Google Mini, the link on the PR7 is just an added reward. As an SEO and business owner you have to make things work in your favor. If you can make good business use of the Google Mini then its well worth the link or if you can resell the Google Mini on eBay for say $1795, then you actually only paid $200 for a link on Google.com PR7 - and that's without the shipping/handling cost. Regardless, how many links are on Google page, Google.com will surely see their pages as authority pages and will not devalue their own pages unless it directly targets SEO efforts. I am certain Google pages are only devalued manually and not automated into their algorithm, again unless the page is known to be exploited by SEO efforts.

In this case, they have no reason to devalue the links on that page and probably pass through all value. There is not any "no follow" tags on the page and not blocked in the robots.txt, its probably is neglected by Google and not even in their radar (yet - maybe after this post, they'll close the hole).
Sometimes I wonder how much weight the search engines actually give certain links..does anyone have any evidence to show that links with supposedly "huge weight" actually promote better search rankings?
nice find but I'm sure google will fix it soon enough. That or they might just leave it for a while to see how many people will pay $2000 just for a link.
