Yeah it is. It is especially targeted to those people who are just beginning to make their first website.

They won't have to invest at all.

You really think register.com is going to scam you:confused:

    register.com

Bah! You don't trust even the big guns!

Zelphic: I dunno as its not time for me to renew either. If you wait for that then the promo will be over i guess!

Yet, you get one year registration and thats a long way, by the time renewal period comes up, there will be another promo code or something o lower down the price.:p

As for me, I check it with a vcc and even that worked out for a clean .com domain:cool:

Uh....yeah that is always the case with all registars. It is never free to push to another registar. Its only free push to another users at the same registar.

But yes I had done this offer and got my free domain a while back ago. Maybe about 6 weeks ago. I used my paypal and at checkout was charged $0.00.

I already got this a few weeks ago from a friend that works there in their support center. It's a shame that they cost so darn much.

I use name.com these days as they don't have any sort of advertisement like godaddy.com

That scares away newbies. Also .com at just 5.99 with privacy included. :)
