    Purchased over the weekend, normal bulk 30K+ links. Just received my report. Most of them look fine. Skimming through the report some look like refer a friend or contact us submission pages. These will not generate any backlinks as they usually only e-mail someone somewhere.

    Speed and communication were on par though. Will keep an eye on yahoo site explorer and see how backlinks progress. Will try and remeber to update this thread in a week or so.

    It depends on how you use it. We've never had that problem. You may experience a temporary drop in rank until your links get indexed, then the site comes back. And, if you use your keywords in the title of your site and optimized properly, you should see your site higher in position than it was before the backlinks.

    That's why everyone want backlinks. You need backlinks in order to rise to the top, unless you have a high page rank.

    Just checkout the sites that are at the top of Google, they all either have way more backlinks that you d out they have a higher PR than your site.
