I just read this over at the BBC site...

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3958665.stm

Well, It's true... If you attempt to access www.georgewbush.com over here, You can't get in...

    Access Denied.

Is it just me, or does that seem completly f*****g rediculous.

What about the US citizens living abroad?

What about those who are interested in the campaign?

Sometimes, I just don't get this guy's administration...

Does that really surprise you? Bush's administration doesn't exactly care what the world thinks about anything...

    I guess not...

But it's not doing his PR any good for any other country outside the US.

I also don't imagine that it is going to work in his favor over there...

Who in the hell wants to see him, every time I see him or Cheney I just curse them.

They will not be around much longer, who in the hell needs them to destroy the world?

Human nature is bad enough without corrupt leaders who are supposed to be in power for the good of the people and to enforce the law.

Silly silly decision that could end up in a court case from a Yank who is not Stateside.

The reason they will give is that they do not want the servers to crash by non-voters hitting the site.

In addition to that they have many enemies that will try to destroy the site.

It is war time, remember the war folks or did we forget about our troops with targets on their backs? Bush said the war was over last May when it just had begun, does anyone remember that?

We need to get our guys the hell out of a war zone and we need to quit starting wars.

How long do you think this site would stay up if they didn't have IP blocking turned on?

Maybe you have to be a part of the "coalition" before you can get access.

    Funny,

using AOL ADSL for browsing from the UK I go via US proxy gateway no problem....

Things like that no longer work IMHO as one never knows where the user is actually located.

Even when I still worked for larger corps we usually had a bunch of gateways across the globe and routing via least congested....

The government does that whenever there are DOS attacks. I haven't been able to get on gov't sites at times and I am in the states. And I wouldn't be surprised if Shawn had something up his sleeve. lol

They will all be able to come over for dinner in January, do you think you can find them homes in Norway or would the World Court hold them in Brussels for trial.

They will never show up for dinner dude.

MM ( http://www.marilynmanson.com/ ) is your very own controversial shock rock tactician, Anthony, you know that ;) Some of his work was produced by that other modern day legend Trent Reznor. Funny - you look so much like him...

LOL does look like Cher in that one, but then so must you Anthony

I have to admit I never used to like MM, but have very much warmed to him in the last few years. He's supposed to put on a great show, and the man underneath the mask is actually a very decent human being. He wouldn't appreciate being stuck in a house with Wacko Jacko, I reckon he'd lynch the charlie - LOL, Celebrity deathmatch anyone?

And now you look like JK?

Very funny, my point was that there are more then 3500 US voters in Norway. A large majority of them are republican votes and many of them are from the battle states. The postal votes from Norway could be the votes Bush needs to ensure a majority in the electorial college. It is not an good idea to block access to the website from Norwegian ip-addresses.
