    Hello,

I have a question about adwords. For a certain keyword, can i find out the approximate amount of searches for it from a certain geographical area?

The google keyword tool gives average worldwide searches. However, lets say i was looking for the word "Car Dealerships" and wanted to see how many people in Omaha were searching for that phrase, is there a way i can find that out?

thanks in advance for your help.

One way is to use google's traffic estimation tool. However this will only show how many clicks your ad is likely to get if you were running an adwords campaign. For a conservative estimate multiply the number of clicks by 3 to give you an idea of how many searches are performed.

Be advised though, this is not hugely accurate so only use it as a rough guide.

If you're desperate for a high degree of accuracy run a test adwords campaign, target your choosen region and use exact match on your choosen keywords, make sure you bid enough to appear on the first page of results and set your campaign to accelerated mode. After about a week count the number of impressions your advert got and extrapolate this number for the entire month. This should give you a very accurate estimate for search volumes during most months.

only country wise no. of searches available and not by state level. but you will get it by math like Total searches/Total US population = A1
and then state population *A1= your answer.
