I have set up Adword campaign and I wanted to target only specific location, for example 'Boston, USA'. I entered Targeted locations: 'Boston, USA' but unfortunately this does not work. According to Google Analytics I receive over 95% of clicks from regions other than 'Boston, USA'. Those clicks are not even from other US cities, unfortunately they are from other countries such as India, Pakistan. This is bothering me a lot because I am loosing a lot of money. Please help.
You need to make sure that first of all you are only targeting Boston. Then if you are, you will probably want to go to the "advanced location settings" link and select "only people IN my targeted area. It sounds like what is happening is that people outside of Boston are typing Boston into their search query and are being shown your ad or maybe you never selected a specific area and the default setting is global. If you continue to have trouble you can contact me through dmcadvice.com as I offer free consultations. I hate to see anyone spend money they do not need too. Good Luck!
Thanks everyone, it helped a lot. My problem was is that the 'Location options (advanced)' setting was not visible/available. After further research I found out that this setting is only available for certain campaign types. More details here http://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1722038
