Hi everyone! I am new to DP and am also fairly new to the world wide web. I am starting a local business and I am wondering if I should: Name my business TownNameProfession and have a corresponding website that is TownNameProfession.com Or go for a more general and catchy business name and figure out a way to redirect the TownNameProfession.com site to my catchy business name site. I am wondering if a 301 redirect will provide me the benefits of the local type-in traffic of people searching in my local town for that profession, or if the 301 direct really wont do much. Also I am wondering if I would be better off making minisites of surrounding towns with the TownNameProfession.com with each townname being a different local surrounding town, and then have them all link to the main catchy name site. If I were to host each of these minisites on sparate IP's perhaps with a some single-domain cheap hosting plan would this actually hurt or help my ranking? If you have not chosen a business name yet, I would choose one that contains your local area in the name.
I suggest to put your product or service name it can help in doing SEO to get good position in the serp.
