    Hi everyone!

I am new to DP and am also fairly new to the world wide web.

I am starting a local business and I am wondering if I should:

Name my business TownNameProfession and have a corresponding website that is TownNameProfession.com

Or go for a more general and catchy business name and figure out a way to redirect the TownNameProfession.com site to my catchy business name site.

I am wondering if a 301 redirect will provide me the benefits of the local type-in traffic of people searching in my local town for that profession, or if the 301 direct really wont do much.

Also I am wondering if I would be better off making minisites of surrounding towns with the TownNameProfession.com with each townname being a different local surrounding town, and then have them all link to the main catchy name site.

If I were to host each of these minisites on sparate IP's perhaps with a some single-domain cheap hosting plan would this actually hurt or help my ranking?

ANY input at all would be much appreciated and helpful at this point. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post!

If you have not chosen a business name yet, I would choose one that contains your local area in the name.
