    Geocities is not accesible from karnataka bangalore india also. My site has been blocked. Though I can access through anonymous proxy www.vtunnel.com which I think routes through canada.

    Not working here as well. I had noticed this the day before yesterday but thought my geocities monthly/hourly bandwidth is up and hence unreachable.

    Yes it has been confirmed in today's Times of India that after 11th July the DOT has directed the ISP's to block the blogging sites.

    I think those who have to get access to any info can do it in so many different ways.Why only limited to a few blogging sites?

    You can just do RDC to any remote computer(outside India) and go through the blogs which are banned over here in India.

    I use BSNL DataOne. For the last 7 days geocities websites are totally banned. Blogspot is OK for now.

    Adsense are still runing on geocities only they (geocities pages) cant be accessed from India .
    Visitors outside indian can see your geocities pages but you wont get indian traffic

    you can visit your geocities or blogspot, typepad thru proxy
